The last week leading up to Christmas and a time to relax, well... a little anyway.
We made our first foray into Ottawa as of late. We cleaned our first 'Mansion', a 6500 square foot house on the Rideau River shore. The owners were very happy with the duct cleaning job and referred us to others. On Winding Way where the house is, there also is a CHEO home. Very large beautiful homes.
DONALD'S DUCTS WILL ' Rule The Street'. Remember, the main thing is Not To Worry!
PS: Note to all. I have been questioned about which air filters to use in the furnace. Just buy $3.00 to $5.00 pleated filters and change every 2 to 3 months. The $20.00 dollar ones do not filter enough extra to make a difference and also restrict air flow, increasing your heating bill.
Merry Christmas to All.

Stubbies In the Wall
October and November have flown by, whew we have been so busy.
I had a strange situation recently while doing an estimate on a forty to fifty year old bungalow. The owner was a rather stonch stiff British retired Major. As I was removing a grill off of a cold air return he remarked " I had the ducts cleaned 3 times in the past 7 years by three different companies!" To the man without a grin on his face, I asked "Why so often?" and then said, our jobs last 4 to 5 years!
This stiff British man replied that none of you duct cleaners are any damm good! I laughed in his face.
When I removed the grill I found a cardboard box that just about filled the hole. It was a 6 Pack of Labatts 50 AND there were 3 unopened bottles in it, AND THEY WERE STUBBIES!! I guess he was right, alot of duct cleaners just don't care. We shared a good laugh together after the stubbies came out of the wall.
We cleaned his ducts and he was happy. I really do see the difference he said, the other companies didn't even show me the ducts when they were finished like you did.

September progress and Donald's dirty duct stories
Duct Cleaning is such a necessary business for all. September has been a non stop month for us. On Saturday the 11th we cleaned the entire Rideau Lakes city hall, which was quite a feat as it very large with three separate heating systems.
.
I have arranged with Heritge House Museum in Smith's Falls to rid the back of the museum building of cobweds, spiders and such, using my Duct Cleaning Equipment. EMC newspaper will be covering this next week.
On a humorous note... this following story is also know as 'Dirty Stories'
I met a cute little old lady yesterday to estimate her duct cleaning. She was 87 and when you get that age for some reason people call you 'spry'. We went down steep stairs to the basement (called cellar) of her old house. She was helping, chatting and turning on and off lights as I moved around ... Then, by mistake, she turned off all the kights. Totally dark, "OOPS", she said as she switched them back on. Then she came over and patted my shoulder and said, THIS IS GREAT.. Oh SONNY, I was only trying to get you alone in the dark!
No wonder the business is so much fun!!!

Donald's Ducts First Two weeks of Life
Hey, things are flying. Good start for the first two weeks. About half of the duct cleaning jobs are as a result of referrals.
It sure is friendly here. We love the Rideau Lakes area. I feel good, people seem to love us! Upward and onward. Hey Friends, keep those referrals coming.
